Equipo Sur was born in 2001 of two painters’ shared love of Realism. Justo Navas and José Antonio Abeger Blanco are the two exceptional painters who make up Equipo Sur (“Southern Team”).
They work together on all phases of creating a painting, planning its execution, preparing colour palettes, even painting strokes on the canvas together. The result is a classic composition with a plethora of details, with a simple and clean glaze. The drawing is superbly executed, and the painting almost photoreal.
