Inspired by nature, Store Street Gallery’s new exhibition takes a fresh look at the theme of Landscape. Sublime vistas, natural wildernesses and untamed forests reveal a range of responses to the great outdoors. UK artist Jemma Appleby will be exhibiting her large charcoal drawings pairing majestic woodlands and Usonian architecture. Visually connecting interior and exterior spaces her work touches on ideas of shelter and longing. Influenced by archaeology, Russell Frampton’s abstracts combine dynamic line and colour with more detailed areas of drawing to synthesise the many elements of a place. Also on show, is highly acclaimed artist Terry Watts RBA who paints sharply focused realistic skyscapes in acrylics. Central to his work is the connection between land and sky and the natural forces at play.
